L’account Twitter di He-Man and The Masters of The Universe ha finalmente rivelato novità sulla seconda stagione della serie animata Netflix. Le nuove puntate arriveranno sulla piattaforma di streaming a partire dal 3 marzo.

Per chi non la conoscesse, He-Man and The Masters of The Universe è una serie interamente in CGI realizzata da House of Cool (Kid Cosmic, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) e CGCG (Trollhunters). Il target di riferimento è un pubblico pre-adolescenziale a differenza di Masters of the Universe: Revelation, la serie diretta da Kevin Smith e dai toni più adulti.

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe è prodotta da Mattel Television con Adam Bonnett (Descendants), Christopher Keenan (Justice League, Batman Beyond) e Rob David (Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) nel ruolo di produttori esecutivi.
Questa la sinossi: Sul Pianeta Eternia, un giovane principe smarrito scopre il potere di Grayskull trasformandosi in He-Man, il Dominatore dell’Universo! L’iconica battaglia fra He-Man e Skeletor si rinnova raggiungendo nuove vette mentre l’eroe e la sua nemesi mettono insieme nuovi e potenti alleati. Una nuova generazione di eroi sta per combattere per il nostro destino. Alla fine, chi diventerà il Dominatore dell’Universo?
Il franchise è tornato alla ribalta proprio grazie a Netflix, che di recente ha annunciato un film in live-action con Kyle Allen nei panni di He-Man. Masters of The Universe è diventato celebre grazie alla serie animata andata in onda dal 1983 al 1985, ispirandosi all’altrettanto famosa linea di giocattoli.
Nel 1987 è stato inoltre realizzato un film con protagonista Dolph Lundgren (dove invece il malvagio Skeletor era impersonato da Frank Langella).
